North Polk Announces Superintendent Selection
The North Polk Community School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education voted Michael Kline as the next superintendent of North Polk. Kline will assume the duties of superintendent for North Polk beginning July 1, 2021.
“Mr. Kline has the knowledge, experience, and passion to move our district forward, engage the community, and support North Polk’s staff and students,” said Dave Potter, president of North Polk’s Board of Education. “With the involvement and feedback from staff, students, and community members throughout the process, our Board is confident in our decision to hire Mr. Kline as our next superintendent of North Polk.”
Michael Kline currently serves as assistant superintendent at the North Scott Community School District, a role he has held since 2019. After beginning his career in education as a classroom teacher and coach, Kline joined the North Scott team in 2015 and has served in principal and director roles prior to his current position.
Kline earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees from Iowa State University. In 2020, Kline earned his Advanced Certification in Superintendency from the University of Northern Iowa.
“I am blessed and honored for the opportunity to serve the North Polk Community School District,” said Kline. “I am eager to meet all the students, families, staff, and community members, and I’m excited to collaborate on how to best support the success of all students in the district.”
The board retained the services of Ray & Associates to assist in conducting the district’s superintendent search.
