Free & Reduced Meals
Children need healthy meals to learn. North Polk Community Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Over the last two years during the pandemic, breakfasts and lunches were provided at no cost to families. Unfortunately, funding has not continued for universal free meals. All families will need to carry a positive balance in their student's school meal accounts when school begins on August 23rd.
We understand this change may cause you to worry. There are important steps you can take today to make sure your child receives the meals they need for the upcoming school year.

1. Complete An Application for Free and Reduced Meals NOW.
If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them for the upcoming school year, but you must take action to make it happen. Complete the Free and Reduced Application by visiting the link below. Forms can be printed and mailed at the address below or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once forms are complete, they can be sent to us using the contact information listed below.
2. Budget for the Cost of School Lunches (if you do not qualify for free and reduced meals).
Families that do not qualify for free or reduced meals can start depositing money into their student’s Infinite Campus Family Account to prepare for the cost of school lunches next year. For instructions on how to pay lunch fees in Infinite Campus visit the link here.
3. Pay Off Negative School Lunch Balances.
If your student has a negative lunch account balance, we encourage you to pay that as soon as possible and then begin depositing money into your student’s Infinite Campus account to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year. For instructions on paying school lunch fees, visit the link here.
