Pursuant to the enactment of SF 2170 by the Iowa Legislature, the Notice to Bidders process outlined in Iowa Code 26.3, which informs the bidding community of the district’s intention to solicit competitive bids for a public improvement project, will be published on this page.

A request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) is a solicitation made through a bidding process to procure a service or valuable asset. The RFP or RFQ process provides structure to the decision-making process and facilitates the upfront identification of risks and benefits. RFP - Bullet/Shatter Proof Window Filming: The North Polk Community School District is seeking bids shatter proof window filming.
Closed bids will be due by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. They will be opened by the Superintendent, Michael Kline, at 4:00 p.m. at the North Polk District Office at the following address:

Scope of Work:

  • 15 mil laminate to be applied to designed glass within the district in 4 different buildings. The laminate must create a smash/burglar/bomb and strong-wind resistant environment.

  • Bids should include price per square foot with a minimum square footage as designated below

    • Central Elementary 600 sq. ft.

    • West Elementary 600 sq. ft.

    • Middle School 1,000 sq. ft.

    • High School 1,000 sq. ft.

  • Bids should include installation during non-school hours

  • Ideal installation will take place before end of December 2024
