Free & Reduced Meals
Children need healthy meals to learn. North Polk Community Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Learn more about the free and reduced meals information/process below.
The Iowa Department of Education, Bureau of Nutrition and Health Services, has finalized its policy for free and reduced price meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals served under the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program and the Afterschool Care Snack Program.

1. Complete An Application for Free and Reduced Meals NOW.
If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them for the upcoming school year, but you must take action to make it happen. Complete the Free and Reduced Application by visiting the link below. Forms can be printed and mailed at the address below or emailed to anita.turczynski@northpolk.org.

2. Budget for the Cost of School Lunches (if you do not qualify for free and reduced meals).
Families that do not qualify for free or reduced meals can start depositing money into their student’s Infinite Campus Family Account to prepare for the cost of school lunches next year. For instructions on how to pay lunch fees in Infinite Campus visit the link here.
3. Pay Off Negative School Lunch Balances.
If your student has a negative lunch account balance, we encourage you to pay that as soon as possible and then begin depositing money into your student’s Infinite Campus account. For instructions on paying school lunch fees, visit the link here.
