    SPRING BREAK FRIDAY, MARCH 15 - FRIDAY MARCH 22. HAVE A RELAXING BREAK!  

    2 hour Late starts for the rest of the school year are: April 1, 15, and 29, as well as May 13. 


    REFLECTIONS AWARDS AND FAMILY ART NIGHT

    Mark your calendar to attend the Reflections Awards & Family Art night Thursday April 4th from 6-7:30 at West Elementary Art room. 13 creative & talented entries from Pre-School to 4th grade will be recognized for  their participation & advancing onto State level for judging. Special shout out to four of these representing our school as they earned an invitation to the State awards ceremony for placing in the top 4 against other school entries. The State placement entries: Visual Arts - Kate Volesky for "Heroes from My Heart" and James Kozelka "Heroes and Villians" and Film Production - Chase Friedman for "Heroes are Everywhere' and Brooklyn Volesky for 'Maggie Saves the Day".

    Recognition trophies & awards will be presented at 6pm, followed by Family Art night from 6:30-7:30, consisting of 10-12 activity stations for kids of all ages to get hands-on, creative, fun experiences. This is a come & go event. You won't want to miss it!  


    2019 SPORT EQUIPMENT SWAP

    Clean out your closets and garage to donate used sporting equipment for others to enjoy. All sporting equipment, dance, outdoor and indoor items that are in gently used shape can be donated.

    Donation Drop-off:  Friday, March 29th with drop-off locations at West Elementary from 8AM-4PM; OR High School from 8AM-4PM; OR Middle School from 8AM-8PM

    You will receive a ticket for donated items that can be exchanged for items at the swap.

    Swap: Saturday, March 30th ***NEW LOCATION*** NP Middle School Commons from 9AM-Noon.

    * Each item will be $1.00 or a ticket that you received from your donation to the swap.

    *Old North Polk uniforms and equipment will also be available at the swap for a good-will donation.

    Thank you for your support of athletes of all ages. Any proceeds go to the North Polk Athletic Booster Club.

    SPRING BINGO

    Enjoy a fun afternoon of Bingo on Sunday, March 31st from 3:00pm-4:30pm in the West Elementary Cafeteria. Admission is One Prize Item per player (ex.Candy, 2 Liter Pop, Novelty Toy). Free Popcorn will be available. Please bring your own spill proof drink. 


    The Last Week of School

    We will come to school for the FULL DAY on Tuesday, May 28; Wednesday May 29; and Thursday, May 30. The last day of school is Friday, May 31 with an 11:30 a.m. dismissal.

     Celebrate North Polk

    Registration is now open for 2019 NP Red & Black Bash. This is a fun evening that raises money to help enhance our school's educational opportunities and extracurricular activities. The North Polk Fundraising Organizations – Fine Arts Boosters, Athletic Boosters, North Polk Schools Foundation – have joined forces since 2009 to host this wonderful event which has raised just under $400,000 for North Polk Schools!Go to https://www.celebratenorthpolk.org/ to register!

    Ballard Sharks Swim Club
    Ballard Sharks Swim Club is a competitive swim club open to youth in and around southern Story, north Polk, and eastern Boone counties. Our home pool is in Slater.
    Practice Information: Monday-Friday from 7:50-8:55 am (1st-3rd year swimmers) & 6:45-8:00am (4+ years of swimming)
