Pending any further inclement weather days, the last day of school has now been changed to: May 31st with an 11:30am dismissal. We will come to school for the FULL DAY on Tuesday, May 28th, Wednesday, May 29th and Thursday May 30th.

We have had influenza and strep throat going around the Middle School. Symptoms of influenza include: fever, persistent cough, congestion, chills, and muscle aches.

Symptoms of strep throat include: very sore throat, fever, stomachache and headache.

Please contact your child's doctor if they are complaining of any of these symptoms so treatment can begin quickly

*SCHOOL POLICY STATES: "students need to be kept home until 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting/diarrhea or have been fever free without the use of fever reducing medicine for 24 hours."

*Please keep your child home until they are feeling better before sending them back to school after an illness. (The droplets from coughing and sneezing are how influenza is passed from person to person so if your child is still having trouble with these things after the fever has passed, it might be better to keep them home an extra day.)

Encourage them to wash their hands frequently, not share food or drinks with others, cough into their arms, etc. Our staff is working hard to clean frequently touched surfaces in each classroom as well as the whole building during this cold/flu season.

Thank you for helping us to keep our school as healthy as possible.
