Principal's Message

  • Welcome to North Polk Central Elementary!  I am proud and honored to serve as principal of approximately 400 awesome students, very supportive families, and a professional, student-focused staff!

After graduating from high school in Preston, Iowa, I attained an Elementary Education degree at Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. After graduation, I taught both 4th and 5th grades during my 7 years as a classroom teacher at West Central Valley and Waukee Schools.  While teaching, I returned to Drake University to obtain my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.  In 2009, I attained an administrative position with the A-H-S-T Schools in Avoca, Iowa where I was the elementary principal for 6 years.  I have been with North Polk Schools for the past 4 years, and I am currently attending Drake University to obtain a Specialist in Education degree with superintendent licensure.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  We spend time at dog parks, traveling, and cheering on the North Polk Comets, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears!

I feel very fortunate to work for North Polk Community School District!  Together we can accomplish great things; together we are Central Strong!

    Respectfully,
    Mr. Morgan Miller
