  • Kids Create: is a children's studio that encourages a love of learning, creativity, and kindness. Kids Create is owned by Elizabeth Lyons, a former public school art teacher. The majority of their classes are centered around 2 of her passions, Art & Animals. She is an active foster for several area rescues, and you'll see "animal guests" noted on many event descriptions. Kids Create also welcomes a variety of exciting guest instructors who offer opportunities in crochet, sewing, culinary arts, STEM, robotics, archaeology, magic, stop motion animation, soap making, LEGOS, and more!
    When: weekday, weekend, daytime, and evening options. Find camps that run all day or for just a couple hours. There are options for everyone's schedule.

  • Simpson College Summer Youth Basketball Camp Info: Campers can sign up by registering online at the link here.  You can also get to the camp site by using the QR code on the flyer.

  • Spare Time Entertainment in West Des Moines: Children can enjoy free bowling all summer long! Simply sign up online at KidsBowlFREE.com to receive two complimentary games of bowling every day from May 1st, 2024, through September 30th, 2024. This offer is valid for children aged 15 and under.   • The Polk City Friends of the Parks is holding their annual Earth Day 5k family friendly walk/run on Saturday April 20th.  This year we will also feature a Pickleball Tournament!  Both events will be held at the Polk City square, with proceeds going towards resurfacing the Miller Park Tennis/Pickleball Court.  For additional details or to sign up for the 5k or Pickleball tournament visit https://www.polkcityfriendsoftheparks.com/earth-day-5k

  • Simpson Youth Football Camp: Simpson FB is hosting a youth football camp this year on June 3-6th from 8:30AM-11:30AM at Bill Buxton Stadium, 701 N C Street, Indianola, IA 50125. Cost is $100.00 for the four days and includes Individual Instruction from our players and coaching staff. Camp T-Shirt and Pizza Party on the last day of camp.

  • NH Fitness Young Adult Program: This program is designed to help our Young Adult Athletes that are serious about upping the levels of their game!

  • ​​​80/35 BMX: is hosting a free open house on April 9th from 5:30-7PM.  This free experience will give families a hands-on, up-close-and-personal look at BMX Racing—the fastest growing family sport in America.  The open house encourages enrollment in our next Beginners-only League season for kids 4-15 years of age. The Des Moines BMX League is a Beginners-Only program, with five sessions of instruction and racing. It’s a great family atmosphere, which teaches bike-handling skills, and important life lessons.  The Spring 2024 Season runs five Tuesdays, starting April 16 (5:30PM-8:00PM).

  • TAE KWON DO LESSONS IN GRANGER, IOWA:JACOBS MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY
