  • Beautiful Savior's Unhaunted House: Save the Date for an UnHaunted House put on by Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Polk City on October 26th from 4-6 PM. The event will feature free games, prizes, food, a puppet show, and costumes are welcome.

  • Fall Comet Volleyball Skills Sessions, 4th, 5th, 6th Grades: 
    The Comet Volleyball Club will be hosting fall skills sessions for all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! These skills sessions will be available for four weeks and will allow your child to learn the basic skills and fundamentals of volleyball. The skills sessions are a great way to help get your child prepared for the opportunity to play for the Comet Volleyball Club in January-March! Here are the details for fall skills sessions:

    • Dates: 

      • Wednesday, October 8

      • Tuesday October 14

      • Monday, October 20

      • Monday, October 27
         

    • Location: Big Creek Elementary

    • Time: 

      • 4th & 5th graders 6:30-7:30 p.m. 

      • 6th graders 7:30-8:30 p.m.

These skills sessions are FREE of charge! Come and learn the game while having fun with your friends. There is NO sign-up for the fall skills sessions. Feel free to come to as many sessions as you can.   • Kids Create: is a children's studio that encourages a love of learning, creativity, and kindness. Kids Create is owned by Elizabeth Lyons, a former public school art teacher. The majority of their classes are centered around 2 of her passions, Art & Animals. She is an active foster for several area rescues, and you'll see "animal guests" noted on many event descriptions. Kids Create also welcomes a variety of exciting guest instructors who offer opportunities in crochet, sewing, culinary arts, STEM, robotics, archaeology, magic, stop motion animation, soap making, LEGOS, and more!

    • When: weekday, weekend, daytime, and evening options. Find camps that run all day or for just a couple hours. There are options for everyone's schedule. 

    • Where: across from the playground on the Polk City Square 

    • Who: rising PK- 9th grade students

  • NH Fitness Young Adult Program: This program is designed to help our Young Adult Athletes that are serious about upping the levels of their game!

    I’ll provide and cover multiple topics including nutrition for performance, rest/recovery/sleep importance, understanding and working with hormones, stress reduction and more! Please fill out the form below and I will be in contact with you about your athlete, small group or team as I have a variety of options for you to choose from! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to talk with you about how to improve their skill set outside of the sport they love so they can thrive even more.

  • TAE KWON DO LESSONS IN GRANGER, IOWA: JACOBS MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY
