Comets Advance to Fourth Straight State Tournament

North Polk is state tournament-bound for the fourth consecutive season.
The Comets punched their ticket to the Class 4A State Tournament with a 62-42 regional final victory, using a strong defensive performance and efficient offensive execution to control the game from start to finish.
North Polk placed three players in double figures, led by Campbell Schulz with 24 points. Fayth Sullivan added 21, combining for 45 of the Comets’ 62 points on the night.
The appearance marks the program’s fourth straight trip to the state tournament, continuing a sustained run of postseason success at the 4A level.
North Polk will face Sioux City Bishop Heelan High School girls basketball in the Class 4A quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 3, at 3:15 p.m. at the Casey's Center in Des Moines.
