North Polk Board of Education Announces Leadership Transitions

Leadership Changes at the North Polk Board of Education

In addition to the regularly scheduled meeting each November, the North Polk Board of Education holds its annual organizational meeting. This meeting signifies who will uphold leadership roles within the Board and nominates important positions like Board Secretary, Treasurer, Legal Counsel, and the District’s Official Publication. In election years, the meeting also represents the transition between outgoing members and newly sworn-in Directors.

On Monday, the Board made some routine changes to its leadership structure and committee assignments. Keith Bormann stepped down as Board President and James Hill was nominated and approved to take his place. Matt Aicher will serve as Vice President. All three—Bormann, Hill, and Aicher—are in the final years of their current terms.

Board Committees

Each Board of Directors serves on various committees, partnering with district leadership to guide conversations and initiatives on topics like policy, facilities, negotiations, and finance. Here are the newly adopted Board policy committees:

  • Policy: Ashley Delaney, Kyle Campbell
  • Finance: Matt Aicher, Keith Bormann
  • Facilities: Matt Aicher, Keith Bormann
  • Educational Services: Ashley Delaney, James Hill
  • Negotiations: Matt Aicher, Kyle Campbell
  • IASB Delegate: Matt Aicher
  • Foundation: Ashley Delaney

Thank you to Mr. Bormann for his time and dedication as Board President. Congratulations to our newly elected leadership team!
