In the spotlight of a chilly Saturday, the NPHS Nexus Show Choir dazzled on opening weekend at Johnston Showzam, securing 1st place in 3A. Mya Bond and Jordan Rasmussen earned well-deserved Star Performer Awards.

Meanwhile, just a few miles over in West Des Moines, the talented group of students embarked on another venture— the Large Group District Speech contest in West Des Moines. Despite the weather, the group earned 10 I ratings and 6 II ratings, a testament to their dedication.
With one success leading to another, the Large Group Speech Team is now gearing up for the state competition in two weeks. Congratulations to both groups on outstanding performances!
