NPMS Literacy Classes Are The READBowl VIII State Champions
We have a Middle School full of readers! Congratulations to Mrs. Seligman’s seventh-grade class for being awarded a state championship in the READBowl VIII competition. This was a reading competition across the United States where students competed to read for the most minutes in different divisions and age levels. Over 800,000 students were involved in this year’s competition. The prize is a box of grade-appropriate books for the classroom library, delivered at the end of this year. See the full stats below!
North Polk Middle School Stats:
- 1st Place: Seligman's 1st and 2nd Hour, total average 2,615.58 minutes for four weeks
- 2nd Place: Bouzek 1st and 2nd Hour, averaged 2,286.61 minutes
- 3rd Place: Sheahan 1st and 2nd Hour, averaged 2,152.9 minutes
- Total average of school minutes: 30,831.6 minutes
