Alleman, IA – Eric Zoske has been officially named and approved as the next head coach of the North Polk girls basketball program, following action at the April board meeting. He joins the Comets from Austin High School in Austin, Minnesota, bringing nearly two decades of coaching experience and a strong track record of success.

Zoske has served as the head girls basketball coach at Austin since 2017. During his eight-year tenure, the Packers made three state tournament appearances (2019, 2021, 2022), reached four Class 3A Section 1 title games, and posted a 143-73 overall record. He was named Section 1 Coach of the Year in 2022.

Prior to his time in Minnesota, Zoske served as head coach at Clarke (2012–2017), was a varsity assistant at Gilbert (2010–2011), and began his coaching career with the freshman boys at Ames High School (2007–2009).

Off the court, Zoske holds a master’s degree in education from Southwest Minnesota State University. He also works as a commodity trader with Anderson Trade Corporation. He and his wife, Nicole, have been married for 17 years and are the proud parents of two adopted children.

“North Polk has been a dream destination of mine for many years,” Zoske said. “I am so excited to be a part of this great community. Go Comets!”
