Allison Named Principal of North Polk’s West Elementary
The 2018 Assistant Elementary Principal Of The Year To Start July 1, 2019
POLK CITY, IA: The North Polk Community School District (NPCSD) is pleased to announce that Cory Allison has been hired to serve as the next principal of West Elementary. Allison will begin his duties July 1, 2019, replacing the current principal, Ann Mills, who announced her resignation effective June 30, 2019.
Mr. Allison presently serves as the assistant principal at Carlisle Elementary School in Carlisle, IA, where he has served for the past 5 years. In 2018, Allison was honored as the Assistant Elementary Principal of the Year by the School Administrators of Iowa. Prior to his current position, Allison held a variety of roles at Woodside Middle School in the Saydel Community School District; these positions include reading teacher, academic interventionist, and an instructional coach. Allison received his bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University in 2007, and received his master’s degree in educational administration from Iowa State University in 2012.
In his free time, Mr. Allison enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters. As a former athlete and coach, he also enjoys sports and is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Mr. Allison is excited to be named the new principal of West Elementary and feels the position will be an amazing new opportunity. He can't wait to meet and begin building relationships with the students, staff, and parents of West Elementary and the North Polk Community.
