As a tradition for West Elementary, every spring, the third graders within their social studies class get into groups to research, create and compile an extensive report and presentation on a specific country. During this project, the students learned about the geography of the country, the architecture, the educational system, the food, the demographic and population information, hobbies and sports, holidays, the landscape and climate, and much more.
After a lot of research and collaboration, the students compiled all of this information into a trifold poster board. Guests and parents from the community on Friday, May 6 made the trip to West Elementary to see all the work these students put in. The project ended with student presentations on the process and about their countries for parents and the community in the West Cafeteria. Great work third grade!
