Last week two teams from North Polk Middle School participated in the Iowa JH Knowledge Bowl on April 20. The event was held at the DMACC campus in Ankeny. 

Students completed a group test prior to the event to qualify for the competition. At the competition they competed against other area schools and answered questions from various categories. It is a great learning opportunity for students. 

The teams had lots of close competition including Ankeny who placed 1st. The 7th-grade team placed 5th out of 13 other teams. The 8th grade team placed 7th out of 14 teams. 

Members of the 7th grade team were Parker, Drake, Canon, Toby, & Liz. Members of the 8th grade team were Lincoln, Emily, Elinor, Sophia, & Madelyn.
