North Polk Community Schools Achieve National Recognition in U.S. News & World Report's "2023-2024 Best Public High Schools" List

Alleman, IA – North Polk Community Schools is pleased to announce its outstanding performance in the recently released U.S. News & World Report's "2023-2024 Best Public High Schools" list. The recognition, which reflects our commitment to excellence, acknowledges the remarkable contributions of our students and staff within the classroom.
North Polk High School has achieved a notable ranking, placing in the top 15% nationally at #2,532 out of nearly 18,000 U.S. public high schools assessed. This distinction is particularly noteworthy as only forty Iowa high schools secured spots within the nation's top 5,000 schools. In addition, within the state of Iowa, North Polk High School stands at an impressive #16 among nearly 350 high schools evaluated in this year's report.
The rigorous evaluation process by U.S. News & World Report encompasses six essential criteria: college readiness, reading, and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum offerings, and graduation rates. North Polk High School's exceptional performance in these areas underscores our commitment to fostering student success.
North Polk Middle School has also earned recognition, securing the #8 position in the state ranking among almost 670 Iowa Middle Schools included in this year's assessment. This accolade highlights the dedication of our entire school community to providing a high-quality educational experience.
